Rules v7

Next charge

Tick every series that flew, and you'll get the run order and file count for each charger. Each pack runs on its home channel: DX8-1 Channel 1, DX8-1 Channel 2, DX8-2 Channel 1 or DX8-2 Channel 2. Empty slots and pulled packs are skipped, and nothing gets reordered.

Suggestion only

Suggested next: fly C3 + C4

Fewest cycles per pack: C3 5.0, C4 5.0 vs C1 16.2, C2 16.5.

This doesn't change the charge rules. The planner still follows the series that actually flew. It's based on lifetime storage cycles per pack, through 2026-10-24.

Next night at a glance

C1 GO

pack voltage at the end of each pack's latest storage run with an end reading (advice only)

  • Before connecting, read each pack's resting voltage at least 90 minutes after its last charge or flight.
  • Charge a pack alone that night (it stays in rotation, no status change) if: the board's packs are more than 0.60 V apart; any cell is more than 0.10 V from the same-position cell of another pack on the board; its own cells are more than 0.10 V apart; a cell rests between 2.0 and 3.0 V; or a connector is damaged (fix it first).
  • Board warning: if a port fuse blows or a balance-pin light comes on, stop the charge, find the outlier pack and charge it alone. If the same pack keeps causing it, its own gap to the board tightens to 0.30 V.

C2 GO

Notes

  • C1-P4

Performance note (not a pull or charge-alone reason): low-cell gap 87 mV on 2026-10-18.

  • C1-P5

Performance note (not a pull or charge-alone reason): low Cell 4 (started 61, 77 and 50 mV below the other cells on 2026-09-27, 2026-10-10 and 2026-10-11; lowest cell 3539 mV on 2026-09-27).

  • C2-P1

Performance note (not a pull or charge-alone reason): IR spread.

  • C2-P4

Performance note (not a pull or charge-alone reason): lowest cell 3583 mV at the start of 2026-10-18.

  • C3-P2

Performance note (not a pull or charge-alone reason): rest V was the highest in C3 on 2026-10-16 (22.225 V); no cell issue.

  • C3-P3

Performance note (not a pull or charge-alone reason): lowest cell 3584 mV at the start of 2026-10-24.

  • C3-P5

Performance note (not a pull or charge-alone reason): lowest cell 3592 mV (Cell 1) on 2026-10-16, just under 3600, with all six cells even; rest V 21.596 V was the lowest in C3.

  • C3-P6

Performance note (not a pull or charge-alone reason): Cell 6 started 128 mV below the other cells once (2026-10-16).

  • C4-P2

Performance note (not a pull or charge-alone reason): Cell 6 started low on 2026-10-14 and 2026-10-16 (175 mV, then 58 mV below the other cells).

Self-discharge checks

P5 (pull): after a balanced storage charge, one cell drops 0.05 V or more more than the other cells within 48 to 72 hours, or any cell loses about 0.10 V within 24 hours.

compare the first line of the next storage log with the end of the last storage run, for a pack that did not fly in between (the upload note lists the flown series or packs).

if more than 72 hours passed, a relative drop under 0.05 V clears the check; 0.05 V or more is not proof, so it is an advisory to recheck within 48 to 72 hours.

scaled to 7 days: 10 mV or less pass, 10 to 30 mV borderline, over 30 mV fail. The grade is a note only, never a reason to retire a pack.

None.

Measurement

Resting voltage is read at least 90 minutes after a charge or flight.

IR is measured solo only (one pack on a channel); IR read on a parallel board is not used.

From the logs

  • solo cell IR on every storage run (performance notes and the 2x single-cell check)
  • first-line cell voltages (deep-discharge pull check, and advisories for the board checks)
  • storage-end voltages, for the self-discharge check when a pack did not fly in between

Not from the logs

  • pack temperature: the DX8 logs show only the charger's own temperature, so heat is reported by hand
  • swelling, pouch damage, connector damage and abnormal charging behaviour: reported by hand
  • flight times: the first log line may be less than 90 minutes after a flight, so voltage checks from logs are advisories
  • the board checks themselves (0.60 V pack spread, 0.10 V per cell, 0.10 V in-pack, 2.0 to 3.0 V cells): read at the board before connecting
